Easily the best Mexican food you’ll find. If you’re going somewhere else then you’re doing it wrong. The freshest food possible. Awesome atmosphere and excellent service. Amended on 8/19/2023. We went on a Saturday night when it was completely packed. We literally got the last table. The service was still awesome and we got our food as quickly as if they had been slow.

Nice little spot for very authentic Mexican food. I had a combination plate that included a Carne Asada, enchilada, Chile, and corn. Everything was good, but the steak was not well seasoned, and the corn was not hot. All had good flavors, though.

The reviews are not wrong. Some of the best burritos we’ve had in a long time. Chicken with mild sauce (green) and steak with hot (red). Both were super flavorable and fresh. Bonus, the staff were all very friendly. Would definately come back.

Food was pretty good. Better than many others. Plentiful. I had the enchiladas (beef w/ green sauce) and they were freshly made & tasty. My dinner companion had a steak burrito with the guajillo sauce which was very good. The guajillo is a little darker, heavier but tasty. This place is a very solid casual choice. I will definitely go back.

It goes a long way with me when the owner welcomes you back with a handshake. The quality of the food is just as high as the service. During our first visit back since the pandemic, we splurged a bit and ordered chips and salsa with guacamole. The best part of the appetizer was the guacamole. Not only was it seasoned to perfection, but the avocados were at peak ripeness. The salsa was also very flavorful and not too spicy for us. At a glance, I thought that the chips may not be homemade, but after seeing some of the staff transferring them from a tub to take-out containers, I suspect that they must be. In my opinion, they are not on par with the greasy, layered chips that are obviously made from old fried tortillas, but they are still good. I ordered the Royal Burrito without meat as I am a vegetarian, but that did not lessen the flavor palette at all. It was still very good as was the corn medley, which seems to be the restaurant’s signature side. My partner got the Chicken Tampiqueño and said it was the best he ever had. After our meal, we both agreed that even though the closest Mexican restaurant to our house is 5 minutes away and Dos Amigos is nearly a half an hour, the food here is definitely worth the trip.

We have driven by this restaurant so many times without noticing it. This hidden gem is hiding in plain sight. Surprisingly large dining area and super friendly staff. The food is authentic and plentiful. I made two meals out of my 4-taco plate which by the way had the following tacos: shrimp, fish, steak and chicken barbacoa. The quality was excellent.
