We enjoyed our experience very much! We ordered the lamb special and the chicken/mushroom fajitas, while our girls got a chicken quesadilla to split. The lamb was FANTASTIC! Highly recommended. The fajitas were good, not memorable. The only thing that needs tweak is their house margaritas, in my opinion. They’re a bit sweet and tasted as if they’re made from a store-bought mix. Very drinkable, but not great. The atmosphere is excellent and the patio seating area really felt fun. The service was great. We’ll be back.

The servers are friendly and the place is cute, but it’s always been a cute corner restaurant no matter what restaurant took it over. Maybe the location is bad luck because so many different restaurants have been through that spot and haven’t made it. I don’t know how long this place will stay. The food was very mediocre and bland. I tried really hard to like it there. I tried their lunch special where you pick 3 different items. And it was very over priced given the low quality of the food. I got an Al pastor taco, which was dry and unflavored. I got a fish taco, where the piece of fish was so small. And I got a shrimp enchilada. Usually places will cook the shrimp by grilling it before putting it into a taco, burrito, or enchilada, so that it’s full of flavor and plump and a little crispy, but it seemed like they just boiled these tiny little shrimp here. But the people were nice and the chips and salsa were good. I still have not found a good Mexican restaurant in Alexandria.

Being a Texan I was beyond thrilled when I saw a Tex Mex joint opening in my neighborhood and eagerly waited for it to open! Overall, our first experience was mixed. They were severely understaffed for a grand opening but the staff they did have was lovely, friendly, and apologetic for our long wait. The atmosphere is colorful and fun. The happy hour prices are very decent for this area. The salsa is fresh and light overall flavors are good and the portions of food are huge! The downsides, I expect much higher quality of chips from a Tex Mex place and the marg straws were very thin and difficult to drink out of if you got the frozen marg. I’ll go back for sure and hope they find their stride in this thriving neighborhood. So glad to have a fun neighborhood spot to frequent.

Delicious ! New business, maybe a little busier than they were ready for. Drinks and chips keep you happy while you wait for your meal. Hundreds of choices to make even the picky eater happy. The seafood soup broth needs a yummy bread to soak it up! Sitting outside with your pup is a great added treat for del ray!

Best Tex Mex BY FAR. Don’t sleep on this place! I’ve come here every week since it opened and tried something new, ranging from typical Mexican fare to a chicken burger with egg. ALL ARE PHENOMENAL!

Big fan of this place. Lots of food choices, from traditional Mexican fare to burgers, chicken sandwiches, and wings. Seafood soup is excellent and love the ribs in the fajitas. Elmer serves up the best drinks and keeps the bar moving. I’ll be back!!

I’ve been a fan of Dos even when it was Dos Amigos in Springfield. There isn’t one thing I have had over the past few years that I didn’t enjoy. From the Chicken/steak nachos, shrimp, chicken, steak fajitas, tacos, queso, salads, burgers (for thr less sophisticated palates) and of course homemade and fresh salsa and chips. My favorite go-to drink is the Sangriamargarita! And I love the staff, I am happy to see its the same crew from the Dos Amigos in Springfield. Keeps those of us who have been supporting this chain for years, feeling like a place of familiarity despite the location and name change. Keep serving great food and service. This location will thrive just like it did in Springfield. We do miss you guys in Springfield though!
