The food tastes good … if you want to try Indian breakfast options it’s a must go. I eat dosa and filter coffee they are too good. Although a bit pricey compared to other stores in the Indian Street. Definitely a try if you want to grab some Indian food while shopping in the mall. The store has lot of space to sit and enjoy the food too ..

Situated in the Newport Mall, Dosa Spot is a great option for Dosas in the Jersey City/Newport area. We stopped by for a meal on a late Saturday afternoon as they had come highly recommended from friends. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the hype.

Surprisingly, I found a south Indian eatery in Newport mall. Dosa spot has variety of south Indian tiffin like dosas, idly, uttapam, coffee and tea. The best thing is there is coffee, which is a filter coffee, and tea is masala tea the way which we Indians like mostly. I recommend trying here whenever you visit this place. I am a Saturday vegetarian, so shopping at the mall and dosa spot are best for me. There is no need to worry about thinking of veg options.

Dosa was really delicious.we order paneer masala and onion masala dosa, their lassi was also good but their masala tea disappointed me. It was not fresh if I would know they had a kettle full of tea and they just refill their tea order I didn’t order. Please change your tea or remove it from the menu

We ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, Onion Rava Masala Dosa, and Sambhar Vada. All the items were delicious. The Dosas were crispy. The spice level was good (I love to eat spicy food). The sambhar was tasty too. Though I didn’t like the chutney much, all the other items were enough to make my taste buds happy. Their Vadas were crunchy outside and properly cooked inside.

The best Dosas in New Jersey, and gluten-free! There are unfortunately not many really gluten-free dosa place. Many mix the flour with wheat. Not Dosa Spot – it’s Dosas are original and delicious. Lots of various options and super friendly staff!

I have been to dosa spot couple of times and never been a time when i got disappointed. Their food is so authentic. I have tried upma, idli sambar, dosas and uttapama. And special shout out to their filter coffee. Staff is very nice also.

Highly recommend this spot. Great go to spot for South Indian food in the Newport area. I particularly enjoyed the Onion Uttapam and the Rawa Dosa here. Even the vada sambhar is really tasty. Nice little spot in the mall – usually are able to find a spot to sit and they do a good job of keeping the place pretty clean. Have also eaten from their food truck and found the quality of the food to be the same.
