Amazing food and atmosphere We got the Special that has the Cat head Biscuit, biggest biscuit I’ve ever seen very soft and buttery. The hash brown casserole was the most tasty and cheesy, a delightful. My fiance got gravy on his biscuit and he said was delicious. I like it was ordered and paid at the same time that way we were out faster and started the rest of our day.

Dottie’s Kitchen in Helen has an interesting, if not frustrating, way of doing things, with their quasi cafeteria style (and no table service), resulting in a very long line. Bottom line? The food is most excellently outstanding and well worth the wait. Coffee is very good too. Very much recommend.

Great breakfast today!! Just a short walk from where we stayed and worth the walk in the rain! The staff was very friendly and the food is buffet style but the staff serve it on the plate for you. When they say cathead biscuits they aren’t joking! The biscuits are not only huge, they are so good! You have to get the hash brown casserole! The best I’ve ever had! I wish I could’ve tried everything! My girlfriend had the brisket biscuit and it was spot on very well done! This place is a local favorite so don’t let your trip to Helen go by without it!

We went around lunch time. We didn’t know it was a buffet style that they plate for you. You can pick meats and veggies for the day which is posted on the wall behind the counter. You can also order things like a cheeseburger which we did for my 4 year old or chicken tenders. I liked the taste of the food and would love to come back and try their breakfast options. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Loved this place! The food was wonderful and the prices very reasonable. There was a line, but it moved very quickly and the food was ready within a couple of minutes. The cat-head biscuits were as amazing as advertised, and I would recommend Dottie’s to anyone visiting Helen looking for a delicious, hearty breakfast!

1st time stopping in here after all the years I have been going to Helen, and I can’t believe what took me so long. The food was good and the biscuits were in fact the size of a cat’s head. I asked everyone that was with what was there opinion on the food 1 to 10 and everyone said 8 out of 10 for sure. I had the Dotties Breakfast plate with Hashbrown casserole, eggs, bacon, and of course a biscuit.

Best Sausage and Egg Breakfast Biscuit I’ve ever had. Scratch that… Best Biscuit I’ve ever had! This place is just plain flat out delicious! Great value too! If you’re anywhere near Helen, GA you gotta check out this place for breakfast. If I’d been in town longer, I would have tried their lunch also.

Food: Not great. Flavorless and very basic. You would expect more especially when you see those prices. I ordered the pancakes since they were out of the French toast. My husband ordered the biscuit + Bacon + potatoes. I tried the potatoes and they tasted like the fries you get from McDonald’s when you reheat them in the microwave the next day. My husband agrees, it’s not great. He even said it tastes like the food they offer at the military dinning facility.
