We decided to skip Italian food at Sortino and went here instead. The Charcoal Grill Steak caught our attention. The atmosphere is relaxing and romantic. It was late Friday night so we didn’t need a reservation. I was disappointed in the steak. Order a 14oz New York Strip and it was bland. Very dry and no taste for premium steakhouse price. Outback Steak tasted better. The smoke salmon had no taste. Side vegetables was fine but how can any restaurant mess up on that. Overall it was not worth the bill. I do not recommend for steak lover. Save your money!

A cut above the rest, most of the time. We really do enjoy this place but would love to make a few suggestions. The food is beautifully presented and for the most part is also delicious. The menu is limited and doesn’t have as many options as you would expect from a high-end steakhouse. The steaks have inflated price and are even higher than many of the top steakhouses in the Philadelphia and New York regions.

Amazing server. Great food. But the restaurant was 80% empty and the hostess sat a toddler in a high chair right next to us. A toddler that screamed non stop. Parents walked him out 4 times. My husband left before dessert as he couldn’t take it anymore. There was no reason to put a toddler next to us in an empty restaurant. For a $258 meal, they should train a hostess to seat high chair kids away from grown families.

Our servers Diane & Tammy were fantastic. We had a group of 20 and the service was amazing. It is hard to make a group that size feel well served and they didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious. Would highly recommend!

The food and service were great! I am only giving it 1 star due to who I believe to be the manager/owner. He kept walking around, looking mad, staring our table down for whatever reason. When we walked out, the manager/owner was outside by the entrance with another man. I’m not sure if this man is an employee or a customer. I only know the reason they were arguing was because of a child and a phone. The manager/owner was definitely not happy and was clearly scolding the other man. If this was an employee acting out, I understand. But take that in the back, not for customers to see. But if this was a customer, this guy sure has a lot of balls arguing with a customer right outside the restaurant, over the man’s child, and a cell phone. Definitely gives this place a bad look, especially when there were families coming in and out of the restaurant, witnessing everything. I will not be returning here on my next outing. Below is a picture I took of the encounter. The manager/owner is the bald guy in blue on the left. As you can see, his hand gestures indicate he was not happy with the other man. Please provide a better atmosphere, not a hostile one.
