Dowize is honestly just a really nice place nestled into downtown Wilmette. It is always clean and open for lunch through the dinner hour; it is usually quiet inside for dining in, although take-out and delivery are options as well.

This is a small Asian cafe with very good food. I’ve been there many times, mainly for lunch. I get the lunch special with pad thai. The atmosphere is not elegant and the wait staff is not terribly attentive. But I kind of prefer it that way.

Sadly, our food was awful this evening. The egg rolls were undercooked, the beef in the beef salad was like old leather, and the orange chicken was past it’s sell by date. The pad Thai was tasteless. I’m sorry to give such a bad review but we were hoping to find decent Thai food but this was very disappointing.

11/2022 experience: Stopped in and only one other party was dining in. I sat down and Was brought a menu and water. The waitress then handled phone orders and walk-in pickups; she took the other party’s order, then back to phone orders and pickups! I just sat there and waiter, but every time the phone rang or another customer walked in, they were helped first, so I left – they didn’t even say anything when I did!

What a little gem in Wilmette. We have ordered several times but never eat in before, the food is way better and tasty. It’s a very simple place buy worth stopping by. Excellent Thai but also Asian food.
