BBQ chicken was cold and taste old, they drowned it w BBQ sauce. On top of it all there was nothing candy about their YAMS.. The greens was the only thing I was able to eat. I WILL NEVER GO BACK

INEDIBLE FOOD!!! Salty salty SALTY. If the food is a little bit salty, okay fine, whatever. But the fried chicken I ordered was DROWNED in flakes of salt. I tried to eat some of the dinner but ended up throwing most of it away. Very disappointed…and also just confused???Who actually thinks it’s normal to have a tablespoon of salt in every bite? Black people – WE ARE PRONE TO HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE – DO NOT EAT HERE!

The food was horrible. I was craving real fried chicken and fried fish. I don’t live in Dorchester and Down Home Kitchen was place I wanted my food from. Well that was a big mistake. The fish was not fully cooked and tasted old and bitter. The same with the chicken wings. The potato salad was horrible they put more celery seeds in it than potatoes. Adding insult to being completely disappointed I was charge for a full fish meal of $13 instead of $9.99 for a piece of fish. I had to throw the fish away and put the wings in the oven to cook more. This place alone isn’t really that good recently the quality of the food has been dropping my steaks bites were full of fat and my potato salad just had 0 flavors and after eating I fell sick. But there also days were this food is a 10/10 but 9 times out of 10 it’s not that tasty. Come at you own risk.

My daughter loves this restaurant so we decide to take a trip to Boston with the fam, first off the lady at the front is so quick with things and makes u feel like u can’t order. You have to hurry up. The baked Mac was was different didn’t see much cheese more like bread crumbs and a lot of seasoning. My daughter receive corn that was so spoil it smell like feet, so we was scared to eat the rice afraid we would get sick. The collard greens was very soft taste like they was made the day before, we also notice that the fridge was broke smh, my advice is to get something that has to be cook to order, also check your food before u leave, because u will go home without something that u order it happen two times. I will never go back a waste of 30 dollars and a hour drive

Unfortunate that I have to leave this review. The food is pretty good, never been much of an issue. But the customer service here os horrible. It doesn’t take much to be pleasant. My wife received attitude for trying to place a Father’s Day early.

Seeing how there are so many reviews about the horrible service, it seems crazy to add my own. But I must say there’s only so much customers will continue to tolerate before they stop supporting this establishment. It is easy to be pleasant and it’s totally free! The young lady with the spider leg eyelashes had a nasty attitude. I hope the owners decide to hire people who can greet customers properly and show respect to the people that keep there place of employment open.

I don’t go here often but when I do I never have a problem amd the good is always on point. We order a head of time and come to pick it out. They are always busy and that’s a good thing. Ever since I found out you get meat on the ribs and not mostly bones I keep coming mack for them. The nac and cheese and candid yams are to die for. We came here last night to pick up the 4 dinners we ordered
