We were in town late after a game at the middle school and looking for a place to get a good dinner that wasn’t fast food. A lady at the game recommended Downtown Bistro. They close at 9pm and we walked in at 8:15. I hate going in that close to closing and expecting a lot, but our server assured us we were fine. Casey took care of us and made some recommendations. It took about 15 or so minutes for us to get our food, not long at all. Every thing came out perfect and was great. If you live in Kennett and haven’t tried them, you should. If you’re visiting, stop in and enjoy.

We like this place very much. The food is very consistent. It is somewhat expensive. But anyplace will cost at least $10 per person these days. Here, if you pick carefully, you can eat here for about $15. There are menu items that cost $11-13-15. Non-alcoholic drinks are $3. Classic Burger is $10.99 and comes with a quality side. Half order of spaghetti is $11.99, comes with bread and is plenty for one person. Nice historic atmosphere without being too fussy.

I had a shrimp pasta dish and it was very good. Our waitress was fabulous. My only concern is how loud the live guitar player was playing and singing. It made it almost impossible to have a dinner conversation. Maybe no microphone and an acoustic guitar instead?

Stopped in while visiting family in the area. I can surely see why this place is popular. Plenty of seating, nice little bar and food was good. Was a little confused why all the beer on tap was out during a Tuesday.
