A hidden gem in Hermann. We asked some locals where to take the kids for ice cream and they all said Downtown Deli was the spot. It did not disappoint! Great flavors and the concretes were every bit as good as Ted Drewes; my wife initially didn’t get anything but tasted my concrete and went up and ordered one for herself right away. Will be back!

It has been years since I have been to the Deli. I had to meet my grandchildren other grandparents there. My grandchildren had fries and ice cream. They serve a big portion of fries, they were very good.

Excellent Tuna sandwich and a nice twist on a Caprese. The homemade chips are very good. But the pickle spear was a huge disappointment. Deli’s should make sure the pickles are crisp and tasty.

We visited on a busy weekend, 4 counter helpers assembled our family’s order. They were fast and we found seating immediately. Plenty of napkins, complimentary water and a restroom in the back to wash the hands of messy littles. ( the sign out front says ‘no public restroom’)
