I would give this restaurant 3 stars. I know it’s awarded as #1 in Bergen county, but it’s not good enough for 5 stars. Prices are very expensive like NYC restaurants with each curries being $20. Appetizers are more flavorful as compared to the mains. We ordered onion pakora, Gobi Manchurian which were good. Ordered mango lassi, saag and paneer Tikka. Paneer Tikka barely had paneer pieces.

Great food in a convenient location! All the dishes I’ve gotten have been flavorful and filling. The price is quite expensive, but the servings are so big and the food is so good that it’s worth it. I’ve been looking for an Indian restaurant in the area for such a long time, and this is exactly what I’ve been searching for! Parking is easy with both street parking nearby and a lot right outside the restaurant. I highly recommend the Butter Chicken and the Dhaba Curry, but just about everything here is good!

Downtown Dhaba is a first class Indian restaurant. The food is authentic and absolutely delicious. The menu is varied and every dish is more delicious than the last. The service is extraordinary, with every staff person going above and beyond to make sure your dining experience is excellent and memorable. The boss Kasa, Vinay and Shafi are fantastic and all the other staff are too! This restaurant will never disappoint and it is a place to return to again and again.

We just ate here tonight ! And they do not disappoint ! If you’re looking for real authentic Indian food Downtown Dhaba is the place to go ! ! The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of each dish. I was excited that they have gluten free meals (I have celiac) they were very attentive to my needs. Cannot wait to go back ! Very Americaized. We got appetizers which were okay! And daal Bukhara which was def overly cooked and had no gravy in it. It was hard and probably old from yesterday. No where was it fresh!! Again if your Indian you will not enjoy this! It’s more for American taste.
