I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen with siu mai (dumplings). The ramen was great but I wouldn’t recommend the siu mai as wasn’t flavorful and might have been frozened.

Enjoyed the warm simple dinner in this clean upscale restaurant. We liked the Miso and Tonkatsu Ramen Noodle Soups. Both were on target and flavorful with delicious chewy noodles although a bit salty. Edamame was fresh and steamy hot. Many other diners enjoyed eating on the shady early evening patio. Dinner here is priced fairly and they offered us an early happy hour pricing menu on a Saturday.

I heard that Dozo was good, but hadn’t made it by until recently and I’m a little upset that I hadn’t dropped in sooner.

Would’ve given a lower score but the service was great. I ordered a shoyu ramen with pork. By far the worst ramen I’ve ever had – I’ve had instant ramen that was more flavorful than this one. The broth was so watered down and had no flavor whatsoever. The pork was tough and had no flavor. The most flavorful part of the ramen were the bamboo shoots. My partner ordered the spicy miso ramen and his broth was a lot better than the shoyu one for some reason. Also, we ordered a philly roll and the pieces were pretty small (compared to the shrimp tempura roll pieces). I guess one bonus was that the ramen was reasonably priced… First and last time we’ll visit here.

It’s a good Japanese food restaurant for a reasonable price. I really like the tempura! Crispy and juicy.

Husband and I have been searching for an authentic ramen for the last 8 years since our time in Japan. Hands down the best flavored broth for both the tonkatsu and the sho-yu. The gyoza was crispy and full of flavor. Hands down the best quality and well worth a 50 minute drive

I’ve loved this place for years. Great, friendly service and food comes out very quickly. Prices are reasonable. The food is amazing, they have all the Japanese restaurant staples and if you want a more authentic izakaya experience they have a menu more like what you’d find on the streets of Tokyo after work. I can’t recommend them enough!

Excellent Japanese food. Fresh and very tasty. The place is small but they do offer outside patio area to sit. Fresh sushi made before your eyes so you know its fresh. The rice I had was perfect. The green tea and chai tea was really good too. The staff is very friendly and fast service.

I’ve been craving for Japanese food recently and so glad I found this gem 50 minutes away from where I live and it’s so worth it!! How I wish it has another store in Phoenix. I love their ramen!! The soup is how I expected it to be. Their takoyaki is also great!! Will be back to try out their bento meals. Hoping it will be soon!
