Old-fashioned fun. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. My wife and I shared a huge banana split. The ice cream was very good. Prices are just a tad bit high, but the atmosphere is excellent. There arent as many drink selections and you might expect. They offer phosphates, shakes, and malts. I haven’t had the food in awhile, but I remember it being good. Go and visit this shop if you can.

This place was AWESOME. My family and I were passing through on our way to our new home in Colorado. From Va to CO this was hands down the best stop we made. The town is a hidden gem. The owner and his daughter are the epitome of great customer service. Both came and talked to us, asking questions about our travels and telling us all about the history of the building/town. There is a bed and breakfast upstairs also that, when I travel home to Va again, I will 1000% be staying there. I can’t remember the last time I unexpectedly enjoyed myself that much from a random restaurant pick. This will now be a staple stop on our trip home. Thanks guys for the great experience!

Friendly, quick service! Our cheeseburgers and hand cut fries were some of the best we’ve ever had! Our banana split was a delicious, generous trifecta of ice cream flavors generously covered with all the traditional toppings and finished with nuts, whipped cream and a cherry…so good! We’ll be back!

We have always (for many years now) absolutely loved this place. Great family run biz with good burgers and great ice cream. But, I am leaving this review because of the Chicago style Pizza. We just had it again and there is no place, outside of Chicago, that I have found better pizza. (And it’s as good as any I have eaten in Chicago)

My family and I had a wonderful lunch today. Our server was super attentive and I appreciate that especially since we had 2 babies with us. Our food was served hot and very quickly. The malt was very good. And my 12 year old loved his chocolate ice cream waffle cone.
