It cost me $17.09 to get all white meat with the Mandarin chicken. Fried rice with nothing but rice no egg, no peas no carrots nothing else just rice and an eggroll. This is at the Laplace location. I’ve gotten better Chinese for half the price in Metairie. And the sauce is disgusting. Not even the right color. It’s beef gravy. And nothing even taste good I thought I would have extra food for tomorrow so I didn’t mind paying almost $20 for one meal but I will not give this to my dog to eat.

The lady running the counter is quick but friendly and helpful. I ordered a bbq wing plate with shrimp fried rice. The wings are huge. The bbq was lightly sweet and tasty. I loved that. I’m somewhat of a light eater so that plate had to be saved for the next day. No way I could down all that food in one go! I recommend this place for takeout. I visit LaPlace for work from TX so I will be eating here again when I’m in town!

My family moved to LaPlace in 1998 when I was 9 years old. I’ve been eating here for over half my life and I love eating here every time I visit my parents. Dragon Garden has been my baseline for Chinese food everywhere I go. They still have the best dumplings and crab rangoon around and they still taste just as good as they did when I was a kid. Same family has been running the place the entire time. I wish them many more happy years of success.

I don’t know what they changed but the rice does not taste like it used to. It was absolutely horrible. This was my first time back in a long time and I see things have changed. It tasted like raw fish. The texture was extremely hard. The person I was with had the same experience.

Horrible, lowkey kinda tastes like some of the meat may have been old. I understand tragedy has struck this area and its not many options but the lady that takes the orders at the door— has a HORRIBLE attitude. Nasty attitude matches the nasty food. I got sesame chicken w/shrimp fried rice. I don’t think I’ve ever wasted $13 more poorly. You know…the lady didn’t have to be that mean to folks especially when the food tastes like this. They should be grateful for any customers they get.

Very rude when I called to place an order someone (lady) said hold then came back with hello and before I could said anything someone said hello u there then rudely hung up after I placed my order and didn’t say ready in… I knew 15 minutes so I just said whatever I then picked up asked for the total I was told put the card in! I then said what’s the total I want to pay in cash she said card. It’s the holidays can’t some people just be nice sometimes?!

Would rate 0. Spent over $40 on food and asked for an extra go box. The lady tried to charge me for an extra go box! Would not give it to me after spending over $40. That’s just the kind of people they are.
