Dragon House Chinese Restaurant is a small, family-owned restaurant located in Summerville, South Carolina. The restaurant has a clean and modern interior, and the food is delicious. However, the lobby is very cluttered, and the waiter was on the phone more than helping customers.

Terrible experience. For starters they got half my order wrong and the half they got right was just plain bad, to the point my girlfriend threw up what little she did eat and even my dog wouldn’t eat it, which says quite a bit. By far THE worst Chinese food I’ve had in this area and possibly the worst I’ve had altogether. I’d recommend the frozen Chinese food in the grocery store before this place.

We order from here at least twice a week, but no more. Their food has increasingly declined over the past year, and ordering food from them is extremely difficult. Over half the time they say they are unable to fill orders that is on their menu (for example plain Lo mein ) which is an item we regularly order. Also their sesame chicken is now small crumbles of hard bread with very little chicken meat. We will no longer be supporting this business.

Ordered a combo plate and asked for pork fried fried rice. The fellow that answered the phone asked if i wanted a large. When I got home , i wasnt sold a combo and it had white rice. They said i could drive and bring back the white rice and wait on them to cook the other. Just great , so the rest of my food would be good and cold. I may be wrong but i dont think they make the pork fried rice individually. They make a larger batch and maybe heat it up or add soy sauce..Im not driving back and waiting fifteen to twenty minutes and coming home to ice cold chicken and beef.. If you arent giving me what i asked for , then tell me . If i had wanted the plain white rice , i’d have asked for it. I’d have went to chaWE nER ge it , if they had some ready. Way to ruin my dinner, thanks. Maybe just let me know …

I hate to be writing this review as we have been patrons of this restaurant for many years, through its ups and downs of quality and flavor. The one problem we have never encountered with them is cold, inedible food. I placed an order of $75 tonight, picked it up immediately, and all of the food was cold and terrible. I could tell immediately when opening the bag that it was not fresh. The food was picked up within the 20 minute window, and should have been hot. I called the manager to kindly state the problem, letting her know we did not want a refund and only wanted to let them know the issue. Sadly, due to the manager’s poor response, we will not be going back to our favorite local Chinese restaurant. 🙁

Best take-out in town. Been coming here since I was a kid and never had a bad experience, save for the rare rude customer causing trouble. Food’s always hot, fresh, fast, and consistently great quality. Can’t recommend enough!
