This restaurant on/at Lake Wylie and borders Lake Wylie SC and Belmont NC. Wonderful atmosphere! Me and my friend stopped by for a Martini and appetizers. We sat outside overlooking the lake and the boat docks. Amazing ambiance!! My friend was very impressed. She loved it!

My girlfriend and I made reservations for 1:30 pm today. As you walk up the walkway to the restaurant, there is a beautiful pond less waterfall. The first hostess will meet you at the front door, holding the door open. As you walk in, you are greeted by another hostess who checks you in. You are then shown to your table. We chose to sit outside on the deck. They had it sealed off to keep it cooled. You still had a view of the dock and lake. We tried the lump crab cakes as an appetizer. As my main entree, I picked the lobster roll with a house salad. Delicious. Every bit of it. The ambiance is very relaxing. Our waiter was excellent. I will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I went to the Drift on Lake Wylie to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Everyone is very profession and friendly. I wish I could remember our server name, she was amazing!!! We had a nice view overlooking the water. We did during Brunch so the menu was a lot smaller compared to the dinner menu. The food was VERY fresh! I think my favorite part was the crab cakes and bottle of champagne.

Came for lunch and had a great experience. Bill our waiter was wonderful. He made some suggestions and we both enjoyed our food. I did fried chicken sandwich which was great and the salad with salmon was very good. Creme brulee for dessert. Sitting on patio is fun one gets to watch all the action as people put in and take out boats. We will go back

It’s always great to go enjoy a meal at a restaurant with great views! If you’re in Belmont, NC area, this restaurant should be on your list to try. Everything we ordered was delicious! Make it a weekend adventure. You will be about 3 miles before getting to SC.❣️

Came here for my husband’s birthday and everything we tried was phenomenal. Wendi was our server and was excellent and knowledgeable about the menu. The view was fantastic and the atmosphere was wonderful. Will be bringing my mom back in a couple of weeks for her birthday – this is the perfect “special occasion” place but also isn’t too pretentious – so you wouldn’t feel awkward eating here just for fun.

It was our first visit to Drift. We sat on the inclosed patio facing the lake. I noted an unpleasant smell when we entered from the vestibule. It wasn’t a deal breaker but may be something to look in to.

I celebrated my birthday here the day after new years. I made reservations and when i arrived there was no issues being seated. My waiter was mason, he took good care of my party with great suggestions, timely service and even brought complementary cake out to us. The food was not the best I’ve ever had but also not bad. For perspective i don’t eat much seafood so ill let you make your own judgment. The atmosphere is great, right on the lake, indoor and outdoor seating… definitely a good place for date night, business meetings, and a calm lunch or dinner. Overall great experience
