Out of town for four days, my family went to dinner here all three nights in town. After our first night, we were hooked because of every aspect: the food, the atmosphere, the live music, and the service…… you will not find any better server than Ashley, who waited on us each night. She is so awesome, she even remembered our drink orders on the second day. Their patio is also dog friendly, so our pup was able to join us each night.

I was visiting Nashville for the first time and wanted some authentic barbecue and maaaan did this place over deliver! THIS IS THE BEST BARBECUE I’VE EVER HAD! Hands down! First and last time eating here. I ordered BBQ Pork and Brisket and ended up with BBQ Pork and Chicken. Meats were dry with no taste even after adding sauce. The mac n cheese was the best thing pickles came in second. Waste of $19 on a meal that the only thing that got eaten was all the mac n cheese. Disappointed

Go to PEG LEG or Jack’s BBQ. DRIFTERS was way below average. The waiter gave us pulled pork and it was supposed to be brisket. I told the waiter this is pulled pork and he said, no that’s brisket. The ribs were DRY and 3-4 days old. The greens were hard as a rock and had zero flavor. The “baked beans” were out of a can with zero flavor. They don’t have chili on the menu and it’s a bbq restaurant. BBQ restaurants have all of the magical ingredients to make an awesome chili and they don’t have one. I asked why not chili, “we just don’t make it anymore, but it was a best seller.”

WOW! as someone visiting Nashville looking for a local and authentic experience – this is IT. Don’t even think about going to martins bbq or edly’s – this is a MUST DO. We got the recommendation from our Uber driver and were not sure how it would compare to the other bbq restaurants bc it didn’t have as many reviews but drifters did not disappoint.

Parking is tight, but there is street parking. Outdoor seating is nice. They had live music. Service was good and friendly. I got the pulled chicken with Mac and cheese and hush puppies. The sides were good, but the chicken was VERY dry. Nearly uneatable. The draft beer is very cold. I wish the chicken was better.
