Great meal and great service. Excited to have a new place near the north end. Crab soup, fried shrimp, blackened tuna, and crab cakes. Didn’t take pictures but the picked shrimp is a must try.

What a wonderful new addition to Virginia Beach’s lineup of go-to spots! It was worth wading through the oceanfront area traffic on a Friday evening at summer’s end to find it. What greeted us when we walked in was the aroma of garlic and butter, making things beautiful back in the kitchen. The wait staff was wonderfully attentive (you rock, Samantha!), and all the food was delicious. My husband kept commenting on how fresh the shrimp was, and my burger (medium with bacon, over medium fried egg, and provolone, which they gladly served on a generous bed of lettuce instead of bread) was so juicy and flavorful. I don’t think I am exaggerating to say that the garlic-buttery goodness and perfect char on the grilled asparagus on the side was memorable (and it solved the mystery of the aroma! I want a candle of that scent!). I’d go back right now just for a plate of that magical asparagus.

This is a brand new place on the north end of the boardwalk. They have amazing food for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. We decided to skip the nearby tourist trap Pocahontas Pancakes and had brunch here. The food, the aesthetic and the service were wonderful. The prices are very good as well. It’s definitely going on the restaurant shortlist (along with Pelon’s, Mojito and Tautog’s) for places to go when at VA Beach.

I absolutely love this gem of a place…..the food is excellent and you can tell its made from scratch. Fantastic flavor combinations with friendly service makes a great brunch spot or just to hang out at and grab a great bite to eat……definitely one of my new favorite places

It’s new, it’s fresh, it’s delicious! We happened in at happy hour and lucked into for $2 off apps and drinks! Erin was our server and she made excellent recommendations and service was prompt and friendly. We had pickled shrimp, tuna medallions, goat cheese plank, and the best clam chowder! Everything was perfect. Will be back!

Shrimp and grits are not on the menu together but if you ask for blackened shrimp on the cheese grits I promise you won’t be disappointed!! 10/10 Faith and Jacob are amazing servers so ask for them by name!

Had a great dinner at Driftwood Kitchen last evening. Our server Lindsay was fantastic. Happy Hour goes until 7pm so we were even able to save a bit on our wine by the glass. We had a Caesar salad with tuna medallions, and a blackened tuna steak with potatoes and spinach. Both were excellent.

The seafood here out beat anything else we’ve had in VA Beach, including staples that have been here for years. Jennine was our server and did a great job of talking us through the menu and making sure we were having a great experience. We could tell she was passionate about the restaurant and the food. The blackened salmon and crab soup were insanely good. So glad we decided to come here – we can’t wait to come back!
