Must visit, especially if you come in on berth 4!!! – We did a cruise-run pub crawl that headed south. Coming back we wanted to eat somewhere local. A Mexican place was just a block north from the berth and thought it would be a joke to have Mexican in Alaska. Turns out it was no joke. D’Santa’s was absolutely excellent and I live in Chicago and have been to LA and San Antonio so I feel like I have a sense of what’s good. The tacos and enchiladas were excellent and their spicy salsa you have to ask for has beautiful heat and flavor. The owners work there and we were happy to contribute to the island economy. It’s not cheap but you’re on an isolated island in the midst of high inflation, so a $20 taco lunch seems quite fair.

We decided to eat lunch here during our Ketchikan port stop, and the food was delicious! I was a little skeptical about finding good Mexican food in Alaska, but this place is the real deal. I recommend the enchiladas, beans and rice. Very reasonably priced as well.

If you’re in town on a cruise, go west when everyone else goes east! This place has really good Mexican food (and ravioli!) with no crowds and some great views. Dishes are all right around the $20 mark… but you get a lot of food for the money! Definitely worth a visit.

Sit outside!! The view is incredible and the dockside airpor is super exciting to watch the seaplane come in and take off. The food is $20+ but super tasty. Friendly service and fun stories from the locals. Clean reatrooms. Perfect for tourists!
