It’s a typical airport bar where convenience is what you are looking for. Your options are very limited on Terminal A and if you want a quick bite to eat or drink, this is your place. However, if your flight leaves before 7am you’re out of luck and by county ordinance they can’t serve alcohol before then. Service has always been pretty quick and friendly. Prices are very high, but again, this is very typical for an airport location. There are some nice bar seats against the windows that provide some great views and you can order drinks to go to leave the restaurant, but you cannot drink them on the plane.

Maybe I was blinded by hunger having been up since 4am for a maybe-delayed flight that did turn out to be delayed, but Ducky’s breakfast burrito honestly slapped. I ordered takeout and the food was hot and fresh. The tortilla had been grilled to crispy perfection on both sides. The guac was flavorful. There was some sort of crema going on that tasted like the chipotle crema from my favorite Mexican place in Boston. The tater tots were the crispiest tots I’d ever had that melted into bits of crumbly potato in my mouth (potentially over-fried). Yes it was greasy but it was delicious. It did take some time to come out (~20 min) which almost made me glad my flight had been delayed and given me the chance to experience this burrito. Almost.

Management really needs to get a grip on the staff here. As a former restaurant manager, turned insurance executive, I just SEE things. Bad behavior is SO EVIDENT if you have been in the industry. This restaurant omg. They have a bar that runs 75% around, with window side tables, but the staff treats this space like it is their livthe power cords and liyerally plain public in between tables . I literally saw one of the waitresses throw FOOD at a colleague as they were walking away. Where is the professionalism? And guest tables are NOT your living room. What’s worse is the manager allows it. He was sitting on his laptop working at the bar, didn’t offer to give me the outlet, and literally ignoring what’s happening behind him. Food on every table. Bus carts just sitting in the middle of the walkways. Employee personal belongings and or food at every table.

This was a horrible dining experience! I ordered breakfast and the food was served cold, twice. I returned the first order and was ensured that the second order will be acceptable. LIES. As I was waiting for the second order, I couldn’t believe that the staff continued to serve their customers unacceptable food knowing that they themselves would not consume this garbage. Extremely disappointed by Ducky’s! It’s obvious that the staff at this particular location (Tampa Airport) absolutely takes no pride in representing the brand. SHAME ON YOU!
