The food here is amazing. The brisket is super flavorful. I loved trying all the different bbq sauce options. The two meat plate with two sides is a great value and will not disappoint or leave you hungry. The owners were very nice and personable. If I lived in the area I would come back often!

Excellent, personal service. Excellent food. The loaded Mac was spectacular and the meat all very moist and tender. In house BBQ sauce was quite tasty too. Can’t wait to come back for the cobbler, but couldn’t fit any more after chowing down so much!

Very well done Texas style barbecue. We had brisket & chicken. Very high quality. The green beans were exceptional. We ate comfortably outside. The customers were interacting in a friendly and welcoming manner. We also had remarkably interesting interactions with the husband and wife owners. It’s a neat place for travelers and other outsiders about a half hour from Steamboat Springs. We might even eat there again on this visit.

The smoked wings were not very tender, sandwich sort of dry. People seemed nice but our cups went dry and we had to ask for more tea Asked for menus for four, got two. Meal was slow to the table. Decor was nice but not enough to overcome the lack of service and flavor.

We stopped in for lunch on Friday afternoon. The lady behind the bar didn’t greet us or even seem to notice we were there. We finally sat down at a table and it took another 10 minutes to get her attention and ask if we should order at the bar? I must say, the Brisket was absolutely delicious. It may be the best brisket I’ve ever had. The sides, on the other hand, need some work. The french fries were incredibly greasy, the coleslaw and mac & cheese were lacking in flavor. I would go back for Brisket though, it was delightful.

Stopped in last week while staying in Oak Creek. Sat at the bar and we had excellent service. The smoked wings were awesome! The special side of the day was cheesy potatoes, they were so good! My only regret was that we didn’t have time to go back to try more of their food! We were watching plates being bought out and all the food looked incredible. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Great food and great hours. Nothing beats having hot food after a long hike and the brisket is my personal favorite and what I recommend. It’s so good, I get it every single time. It’s so mouth watering you don’t even need sauce and if you do there’s homemade sauces available. (My favorite is the Carolina Mustard!)

Dueling D’s catered our end of the summer season party and the food was fantastic, my only regret is that we didn’t order even more brisket (it went fast). The leftovers also were also good days later and made for some good eating.

Great food and atmosphere. When you’re driving though a small town, you want to find that special restaurant for good food and personal, appreciated service . This is it. The proprietor served us and made it a special meal. Stop here and enjoy. I had the brisket, but all of the meals sounded delicious. I hope I can return.
