We just moved to the village of Avon and this was our first visit to Duffy’s. It is a cozy place to visit, like going to a family member’s home. They have plenty of beer on tap and domestic bottles in the fridge. I’m pretty sure that the burger was cooked on a charcoal bbq. It tasted amazing. The BLT had thick slices of tomato and crunchy slices of bacon. This is definitely a place where you slide up to the bar and stay for a while. The fun old train station vibe was fun.

For a local places and a out of town visitor it had a nice out door astomphere… Great munchie food after a few drinks with elementary friends …the train stole the show the conductor didn’t mind entertaining us either ….down fall it’s cash only and you become the part of the staff but the prices made up for it…

I had to wait for the train to cross so I thought it was a great time to try Duffy’s out. Very friendly atmosphere, there is history in this old depot that makes you wish the walls could talk.

We were really disappointed. Tueday, we were out and about looking for outdoor seating where we could eat with our pup. We got to Duffy’s at 7:43 and I jumped out of the jeep to ask the waitress that was cleaning off tables if they were still serving and if our pup would be allowed on their patio, when she rushed inside. When I went to the door, it was locked. I couldn’t believe she didn’t even have the decency to say, we’re not serving anymore. We’d never been there before and we won’t go back.

Comfortable, homey place. Nice outdoor patio (with shuffle board!) to view the slow moving locomotives shuffling around short strings of railcars. Great, economical barfare. Now if only they could get some of the great local micros like Mortalis and Rising Storm…

An old train station converted into an Irish tavern. They sere good food, good drinks, and everyone knows everyone in this small town “Cheers” I usually meet someone who lives down there, and enjoy it every time. Parking is good as are the prices.

The waitress ignored us and did not include us in their conversation. The bar looked great and had all the looks to be an awesome place, but dead as doornail on a Friday night and only a few old people in there and they seemed to like it that way. We had one drink and left.. and that was poorly made.
