My long time Florida resident and fraternity Brother took me to Duffy’s Tavern while I was vacationing on Anna Maria Island. Duffys is family owned and has a long tradition on the Island. Not a big place but the hamburgers and sandwiches are delicious. You order at the bar and they bring the food to your table. You can also just sit at the bar. NO FRIES are served but they have several other sides. It’s definitely a throwback to simpler times. It is CASH only but never fear, they have a convenient ATM inside.

The Burgers and potato salad were good. The beer was super cold. Really didn’t feel welcomed. We live in Bradenton and have a couple of staycations a year on the island. We love trying new restaurants each time and going back to the ones we really enjoyed. Sorry this one isn’t worth returning to. We are spending our hard earned money and you could at least pretend you’re happy we are there.

Best burgers on Anna Maria Island! CASH ONLY & NOTHING FRIED! They don’t have fries. But that being established, the staff is very helpful and kind. You order, and pay at the counter. I’ve been coming here for as long as I can remember and always look forward to it when we visit AMI.

This is a tavern. Cash only! Typical rock and roll soundtrack, jovial folks imbibing alcohol at the bar and neon signs glowing with the promise of all that beer can bring. Definitely one of those places to rub elbows with a local crowd.
