If you’re familiar with the SC BBQ scene then you know the name Duke’s. While there are many locations for these deep-rooted traditional restaurants this location in particular stands out. The quality of the food and service is always top notch. I’m always greeted with a smile and a hot plate of hash and rice. If you’re a fan of Mac n cheese definitely try there’s as it’s some of the best I’ve had. Do not sleep on this location if in the Orangeburg area!

Excellent BBQ and very good hash. Definitely would recommend the buffet with all the choices. The hash was one of the best tasting as it had a cider vinegar under tone and was very flavorful. Actually ended up taking a quart home. The hush puppies were also really good as well as many of the sides that we tried. Not too far off the highway if you driving through.

This was my 2nd time here. Very famous place. Just go ahead and get the buffet so you can sample everything! Nothing is bad. Only thing missing is the banana pudding. The sweet tea is extra sweet! $15 per person for the buffet. Only open Thursday – Sunday.

Yesterday was a great day with my friend Tom. We did our annual Dukes BBQ in Orangeburg and then drove to Cameron for the best pecans money can buy. Dukes was excellent with their fantastic bbq, hash, and mac & cheese as usual. We then drove to Cameron and loaded up on dark chocolate covered pecans, honey roasted and on & on. Great Time! Still a great place! I went here in the 80’s. It’s just a little <7 miles> off the I 26 in Orangeburg. We had the buffet. 2 kinds of chicken, pulled pork, hush puppies, mac and cheese, green beans, slaw, potato salad, pork crackling. Very good! My favorite was the fried chicken and green beans. And pork crackling! They use disposable plates, cup and flatware. The buffet is all you can eat and costs $15.
