Horrible – The meat was very fatty and very poorly cooked. The pulled pork was dry, the brisket was very fatty and the chicken was still bloody inside. All the meats had no bbq flavor just a vinegar flavor. The baked beans were sweet but bland and vinegary. The coleslaw was a sweet mustard and I didn’t care for that and the cornbread was disgusting. I want my money back and I will definitely not go back.

We just returned from eating here. I was excited to have a BBQ joint fairly close, instead of having to drive to NoPo. The place looks nice, lots of graphics on the windows, an area to have a band play and nice comfy seating. We walked in later in the afternoon and the place was dead. That’s to be expected around 3:30 pm. Both TVs were playing a talk show with Ellen Degeneres. We were promptly greeted and handed menus. We ordered and sat down at a booth. Not too long after we did, people started to trickle in and the cashier/server changed both TVs to sports news. Unfortunately, that didn’t change the ambiance in there. Perhaps some music would have made it more inviting to hold a conversation louder than a whisper. Otherwise, it felt like eating at your uncle’s house while he’s trying to watch Sport Center.

I don’t typically rate things one star, but this is a special circumstance. I love barbecued food. I’m not a hard person to please with any type of food, really as long as I don’t have to cook it, I pretty much enjoy it 99% of the time.

Duke’s makes some tasty bar-b-q! I like the 3-meat combo platter and a beer because it satisfies my appetite. Their mix of sauces are excellent. They serve the food on a plastic tray with a sheet of wax paper on it, and by the time I’m done eating the wax paper has a hole in it. I don’t mind this but I think some people might be freaked out by the fact that they might eat some wax paper with their meal. Duke, you should probably spring for some hearty paper plates, just sayin.

The meat itself was good, but small portions. Unimaginative food, mediocre execution. Super nachos weren’t that big, had barely any meat with it, and the microscopic side of salsa was brownish due to age. Doubt I’ll go back, and if I do will definitely get something else.

Call ahead, you may have a bit of a wait. The wait is totally worth it though! Brisket falls apart in your hands and the ribs peel from the bone. Portions aren’t the largest for the price but the taste is definitely there.

The bbq sauce had almost no actual bbq in it and was more vinegar than anything else, the customer service was terrible and i would suggest to anyone to never try this place.
