A messy burger so get lots of napkins but flavor was great. I ended up using a fork as the bread did not hold up from the grease. Portions for fries are family size so order only 1. My roommate had the chicken sandwich and she said it was good but she also had to ditch the bread. our bill for 2 sandwiches, 1 regular fry and 1 chili fry was $49 so bring your $$$.

What a great burger joint. As said previously, super juicy burger and being a smash type burger that is hard to do. I just got a single too. Then cooked with the onion on the grill. Man, fantastic. The chili, the chili is something special. It’s addictive. Not sure if they are just using very high quality chili power or there is something extra in there like cinnamon or nutmeg. Great chili. I will be coming back to try the The Bartlesville and the The Oakie! For sure

Omg! This is probably the juiciest burger I’ve ever had in my life! They’re triple decker is totally worth it! And if you don’t like to get messy, and you prefer to use a fork with your burgers, they have lots of options! Everything is made fresh, you know, because I barely even have a freezer! And I totally recommend trying their milkshakes!

I really wanted to like this place. The burger lacked seasoning, and there was an aftertaste. We ordered the hot butter honey chicken, and that was a little better than the burger but not much.

If you love onions and burgers then this is the place. Bacon fries are one point! Cheese sauce is flavorful, fries were delicious. The double burger was enough for me, tasty with the bun grilled to perfection!

My friend said I have to try Dukes and he is a Hodad’s fan boy. I can say that this is one of the best burgers I have found in San Diego so far. Fresh hand made to order and HUGE burgers and fries. A single burger was more than enough. we had 2 orders of fries that could have feed 4-5 people. One person in our group was gluten free and she got hers on Romain lettuce, no problem. Clean bathrooms and dining area 5 Stars here!!

Large portions, great taste, and speedy service! You can definitely share an order of fries. The owner is super nice and dog friendly! He saw me with my dog Kira and told me he named the place after his dog Duke. You can tell he cares a lot about his product but is also super good to his employees and works alongside them. This isn’t one of those burgers can you can get to go and eat later. It needs to be enjoyed right away or it will get soggy – which is how a burger should be!
