Point Ruston is such a cute place to visit when you’re in the Tacoma area. On a weekend fun day with my mother-in-law we ended up at Dukes Seafood. It’s a perfect place to take a less adventurous crowd or a crowd that’s interested in getting something that’s cute but cliché Northwest. The menu had a lot of options and different shareable appetizers. They also had fun cocktails. It was super crowded on a weekend afternoon so keep that in mind. The service was sweet and quick. Huge fish tacos, one will fill you up and orders come with a bread basket.

Best ever seafood restaurant on the waterfront with beautiful sunset and mount rainier view. Patio is amazing. I wish we live in Seattle and have chance to go frequently. Service was amazing. We arrived earlier than our booking and they accepted us since there was a ready table. Our waiter, Alex, was the best. We had an amazing experience with sunset and fullmoon next to Mount Rainier. Ceviche, calamari, chowder samples and salmon were very tasty and all the ingredients were super fresh. Highly highly recommend this place.

If you find yourself in Tacoma, treat yourself to a dinner at Duke’s and ask to sit with Wade (he’s been there 10+ years and his love for the chef’s creation is evident). Start with the deviled eggs and crab cake. The clam chowder is award winner. Not into seafood, our son devoured his burger (see photo). The ambience on the patio was the perfect blend of mellow music and coastal views. We’ll definitely be back!

Darby was the bartender working the night I was there and was really kind. She explained the menu. I love the fact you can try a small sample of their famous chowder without having to get a cup or bowl. The Thai Halibut was OUT OF THIS WORLD. The best preparation I have had of fish in a really long time. The staff in general were so kind. EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER LOOKED AT EACH GUEST AND SMILED. They held the door, they stood in place while letting guests pass by. These days so many places (especially larger restaurants like this one) seem so rushed. They don’t care about the menu or food items. NOT THIS PLACE. Darby helped me with the drink selection, food section. The manager walked behind the bar and looked up to say hello and thank you for coming in. I was very impressed with this place!! Thank you for making me have a really nice experience in Tacoma!

We went to Duke’s for lunch on my birthday, we had a 1:30p reservation and the parking lot was packed, however, we did find a spot. From the time we entered and mentioned our reservation to the time we left, the experience was GREAT! Every employee that we came in contact with was so friendly and welcoming. Our server was so nice!

Uber driver told us abt this place. It didn’t disappoint. The staff was attentive, the bartender came over & offered to make us another round of drinks. This place fills up fast. It was raining so we weren’t able to eat outside but we still had an awesome view of the water. The food was hands down the BEST!!! It’s pricey but worth every penny. If u order the Rockn rock fish tacos just know the tacos are HUGE. Our waiter let us know ahead of time
