You have to get there early! We had to wait 50min to get in but it’s so worth it. There is waitlist line which you have to register in a tablet (yelp). Also they close the wait list line around 1:30pm

I’m not from SF but this place makes me want to move there. I would fly back just to eat here again. Everything we ordered was a hit. The long wait is worth it. Everything numb and spicy was AMAZING. I will say it was super hot, temperature wise. My boyfriend burned his mouth with the soup from the xlb and it took a while to heal.

Dumpling competition in SF is fierce and Dumpling Home has earned a top spot. Several types of dumplings each with a few varieties come piping hot throughout your stay. Loved the bao dumplings and generous recommendations from the staff.

Fantastic service and pretty great food. You walk in and there a tablet with a waitlist to join. I went solo on a weekday for dinner and it was about a 5-10 minute wait. They have seating in and outdoors. Outdoors area is pretty covered and has heaters. The classic pork xiao long bao is absolutely delicious and I could probably eat a few baskets on my own. I also tried the braised beef noodle soup. Noodles were bouncy, meat was tender, veggies were cooked well. The broth was ok but not spicy or too flavorful. Next time I would probably get a different dish or ask for hot chili oil! Definitely recommend stopping by for the dumplings alone.

Some of the best dumplings I’ve ever had! Our favorites were the pan fried juicy chicken and the numb and spicy xiao long bao. The Dan Dan noodles were also delicious. The wait was close to an hour – but you can walk in, add yourself to the waitlist in person on yelp and track the waitlist on your phone while you explore the area. Enjoyed the outdoor seating as well!

Excellent restaurant for authentic Chinese food. For 3 hungry grownups, we ordered Numb & Spicy Pork X L Bao, Juicy Pork Bao, Shiitake Mushroom Chicken Dumplings, Pork Vegetable Pot Stickers, Dan Dan Noodles, Green Onion Pan Cake, and Beef Tongue (cold appetizer). They all tasted great. The wait on a Sunday dinner time for us was about 25 minutes, but we used it for a nice walk to the “Painted Ladies” less than 10 blocks away. Highly recommended to all who love traditional Chinese cuisine.

the food here is indescribably good—arriving at the table steaming hot and bursting with flavor. literally everything on the menu is worth a try! portions are a great size for trying a bunch of things—but i would recommend bringing your appetite the juicy pork bao, numb and spicy pork xiao long bao, and the green beans are unmissable!!

So close to 5 stars. It’s just a tad too expensive for dumplings/dim sum. (Average for bay area, but just because it’s the average doesn’t make it acceptable).

Worth the wait!! Get there before the line starts to wrap around the block. They hand make everything in house. It was a joy to watch them form each dumpling!! It’s truly made with love and care. Every dish is made in house, made to order.
