This is by all definitions a mom and pop shop. Food is great and the store has a good variety of Filipino and Asian products. Definitely a hidden gem in this neighborhood.

This wonderful store stocks so many familiar Philippine brands and prepares a variety of home cooked Filipino favorites, there’s no need to travel any farther. The owners are delightful even after 31 years right here in Shoreline!

Ok. I don’t live in the area but a friend of mine does and I try to hit this place when the opportunity hits . Started off just buying the lumpia, usually I would buy out whatever they had at the time. Great lumpia . Crunchy savory. I could eat the stuff every day. The one day I tried the adobo pork and rice. Boom baby. This stuff has flavor! I’m not real familiar with Phillipine cuisine but this dish is .

Mom and pop Filipino grocery store and lunch counter. You can get a great, reasonably priced lunch here. The menu rotates day to day, but there is usually a beef stew, a pork stew, two rotating dishes, and lumpia. Great selection of specialty food items as well. There can be a bit of a wait if you come right at noon for lunch but they do a great job working through the crowd and the food is well worth the wait.

Take out food here is very good. Much better than any sit down restaurant you can find downtown.

I visited D’Unik on a Saturday afternoon just to see what kinds of foods they have. There is a small grocery section of the store with Filipino goods and in the back you can order hot items like adobo and lumpia. There were some tables to sit at as well if you wanted to eat the food there. I ended up getting a pack of ube butter cookies and a halo halo to go. The ube cookies were good and not something I see too often. The halo halo was made to order and tasted really good. It had beans and jello cubes with peaches and strawberries I believe. The ice cream scoop on top was rich and creamy as well and tasted great. The older gentleman who was in charge of the cashier was friendly and made me feel welcome too. I hope to return and plan on getting some hot food.
