Based on good reviews we made a reservation during our stay in Washington DC. We ordered bruschetta en fried mozzarella as appetizer! Both appetizers were excellent. As main plate we ordered a spaghetti carbonara, a pasta seafood and a pasta calamares. The three plates were excellent. A few downsizes: no table clothes and a waiter who was not so polite and distant.

Dated staple popular w locals where you go to enjoy the scenery and camaraderie. This joint gets hopping at night when the bar upstairs is packed to the brim w singing drag queens putting on a show while drinks are poured on the double. We went for brunches and it was aight. The standard selection gives the normal options you’d expect from an Italian American joint. We got the bruschetta, puttanesca, and arancinni…somehow we veered away from breakfast options. Everything was fine. It was a beautiful day and as we were seated outside, we decided to enjoy the nice weather more.

Loved DuPont Italian Kitchen! This was a great, classy spot for some late night Italian cravings with friends. Staff was friendly. But the food was not as good as expected. Seafood pasta was not as good, no garlic breads, we have had better seafood pasta. The greek pizza was OK, maybe our order from the menu selection was not good. However, the ambience and the drinks were great

The atmosphere was very noisy and hard to hear my colleagues. The food was fantastic [Salisbury steak, Chicken & Sausage] . Though it was not busy, our server seemed preoccupied with other things. We almost had to find him ourselves to take our check. If I ever return, I would probably get my food to go and find space outside in good weather.

I’m visiting DC for a long weekend and thought I’d try this place out for an early dinner before the crowds invaded. The pomegranate margarita happy hour special was small but powerful. I think the second was even more potent than the first. Then I had my go-to for Italian restaurants- the chicken Parmesan. It was very good, with a chunky marinara sauce on the linguini. I do wish that came with a spoon so I didn’t have sauce splashing everywhere. As I ate, I noticed regulars making their way in, as the staff was clearly familiar with them. I’ll definitely go back the next time I’m in town.
