We were immediately greeted once we stepped inside and brought to a table upstairs with a view of the street, then given two waters and offered bread. We ordered Wild Boar Momos (steamed dumplings) for an appetizer and the Chicken Tarkari (curry, chicken, rice) for the main meal. Both were excellent. We were given a choice for heat level on the Tarkari, a scale of 1-10 (10 being the hottest). I chose level 5 and it was a pleasant heat throughout the dish. While eating we were able to view the space which had many interesting features to look at from the Nepalese culture. We wrapped things up with a desert, the Carrot Haluwa, which was a tasty yet nutritious option. Would go back if in the area and sample some more items from the menu, and maybe see what heat level I could tolerate .

Great food with your own choice of spice level (1-10) very cultural. Plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians. Incredible customer service. We were met by a very kind waiter and directed to our table with menus all ready for you. We were given our water and helped to pick a great meal by our incredible waiter. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend. Thank you so much for the food

The food was scrumptious!! Have tried Gundruk soup and lentil soup and both were delicious. The momos were my favorite and Chicken Chhoila was delicious as well! Never tried puffed rice with a curry base before but I really liked it. Would definitely visit this place if I ever happen to be around portsmouth.

Frist time ever!! My husband took me here as a surprise. Me anyways.. I order the ginger duck. The duck was amazing, tender, juicy. I give credits to the cook. The atmosphere was beautiful. I felt very comfortable for was delicious an dessert ❤️❤️ i have order the rice pudding. Was on point! I highly recommend this place

Wonderful food, wonderful owner. We love Nepalese food so we were excited to find this place. Jon, the owner, couldn’t be more kind or welcoming. We were just passing through but he treated us like old friends and made sure we had a great dining experience. The takarki was delicious, everything very fresh and perfectly spiced. We will definitely be back on future trips.
