Over the last year or so, Dutch’s has reopened under new ownership by the folks who own Red Feather Kitchen. This means elevated food in a revamped casual setting. There are more tables than there used to be under the previous ownership that focused more on carryout. My wife and I stopped in for a date night and sampled various dishes on the menu.

The Alabama White BBQ Chicken sandwich is unbelievable. Ignore the whining and penny pinching cry babies leaving reviews here. You will not find a better sandwich in Cincy. Seriously. I recently visited for the first time with a friend and we enjoyed the sandwich so much we ordered a 2nd round of sandwiches. The beer selection was nice too and I highly recommend a cold draft with your BBQ chicken sandwich. Great service, comfortable indoor/outdoor space – cannot wait to return!

Really good sandwiches and a great selection of sparkling waters and wine. Good lunch spot. They also have great burgers on certain nights. The staff is really friendly and they have a great patio our back.

Unfortunately this dining experience had enough bad elements that it warrants being reported. (In hopes there could be improvements) Service was poor, basically we were on our own. Our $20 hamburgers took over 30min to make (people that arrived after us got served before us). Both hamburgers were overcooked and dry (did I mention each was $20?) and there was no way to request say, medium-rare, on their phone app. The final insult came with a bill where 20% tip was already calculated but the payment app attempted to trick you into adding another 10% or more gratuity.

I need you places to understand that this does not count as caring about your employees. Either just raise your prices to reflect the 20% you wanna give them or actually just pay your employees an actual wage. Forcing tips onto your customers when your prices are already high as all get out is a scummy move. Claiming a moral high ground ontop of that is just plain gross.
