This place is on the outskirts of town and well worth the drive. The owner was really nice and took pride in what he does. We ordered the blackened catfish, collard greens, pinto beans and fried green tomatoes. It’s quite literally the best food I’ve had since being in Alabama. Everything was fresh and cooked to order. I’m hoping we can go back and try something else before we fly back home. I highly recommend this place to EVERYONE! Go try it, you won’t be disappointed!

The crazy panhandlefoodie
Visiting Huntsville again and my first foodie stop was this place. Off the beaten path but definitely worth the drive. Walking in and smell hot fish grease just brings you back to grandmas house. My meal was flavorful and you can taste the soul.

Freshly cooked southern meats and sides. I had the fried pork chop, fried okra and green beans. Grean beans were flavored with hot sauce (not spicy). Best fried pork chop I have ever had. Also pictured are their fried wings and mac and cheese. We had to wait about 30min because the meat is cooked to order, so if you have time to wait, this place is definitely worth checking out. No frills, just good southern food.
