Food was very good, it is a true small town cafe. Seemed to be popular lunch place, with very affordable prices. A nice, antique decor with a good variety of nostalgic collectables. The service can be a little slow, as they often do not have many wait staff working, but they are friendly and do the best they can. Food quality was very good, it’s very home-style, very much a mashed potato and gravy kind of place. Our lunch came with a dessert included as well. And for a very reasonable price, less than $9 a plate.

We like to patronize the locally-owned diners & restaurants as we drive across the country & the Eagle Cafe was lovely. They made us tuna melts, even tho it wasn’t on the menu & were interesting to talk with, downtown Barnesville

very good service. i had a potato pancake and it was packed with real shredded potatoes. two of us ate a filling breakfast cooked perfectly with coffee for under $20.00. We are not locals and were treated well. p. s. lots of coffee refills too.

To me it seems like they don’t give people from out of town as much love as they do the locals. It took us an hour to get our food and even then the food was not all that fantastic. Not much added to the grub in terms of seasoning if any at all & the portions were smaller than I expected.

The food is quite good and portions are adequate, have had breakfast only so far, so can’t rate the afternoon or dinner menu items…the service is fair, to poor with the usual small joint humorless matronly waitron doing the serving…the food is a little pricey hitting $35 to $40 for a couple for breakfast.

I remember this place fondly for potato day! I always loved sitting in the booth and looking at the vintage wall paper while I ate homemade food. Sorry for your loss. Good memories live on.

Old hometown cafe with all homemade entrees and desserts. Needs updating but that takes $$. If anyone is looking to take on a life in the restaurant business, this one is for sale in a great community.

Very friendly service, the waitress knew many customers by name. Food was pretty good, short order diner food but well executed. Coffee was decent and the waitress really kept up on refills. I never went below half a cup. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you’re in the area.

The food is just great in general but the hot beef/turkey is to DIE for. The restaurant is family friendly and the waitresses are friendly. Would definitely recommend. Very good comfort food!
