This is the fourth location of the several ones located around the Charleston area that I’ve been to, and I must say that the Deli isn’t missing a beat. As a novice food and beverage critic, I’m sort of partial to sandwich shops because I’m very fond of the fact that a sandwich is a portable meal. Given its namesake of being named after one of Charleston’s most popular streets, it’s gained a reputation with me as being popular. Service is very much appreciated by me and the sandwiches are very much great.

I don’t know what the holdup was, but there was no one in line ahead of me and I ordered a half salad to go. The staff was running around squealing and having multiple conversations. It seemed as though no one was actually doing anything regarding customer service and they were all unprofessional looking and behaving. I sat for 32 minutes waiting for my salad only to be disappointed with what I paid $10 for. I will not return to this location

WAY over priced. I suppose I should have taken the time to read the other reviews, before we went to eat here. I was truly shocked when I received my Philly sandwich. About a tablespoon of diced onions. Maybe 1/4 cup of meat on the bread with slices of cheese melted over the top of the bread. The sandwich was luke warm. I used to think other sandwich places were overpriced, but my goodness. I’ll gladly pay the exact same price for a sandwich with double the portions we receive.

I was so excited to eat here for lunch, but instead, I’m in the car typing this review. When I got there I wanted to use apple pay, which is an option. To my surprise ALL (3) of the Apple Pay machines were down? 3??? I waited for about 5-10 mins for 3 different people to rectify the situation and got nothing but a , “yea, I’m going to have to cancel your order” , instead of trying to fix the situation that was caused my your employees. Very poor customer service.

Ordered two italian sandwiches and a small and medium drink. By the time, I tipped $36. When I looked at my receipt, I realized i had been charged extra for using a card. Ugh!!!! Sandwiches were very dry. Went back to ask for extra dressing. That will be .35. Really!!!! If the sandwich had been made right in the first place, I wouldnt be asking for extra dressing. Doubt I will go back.

Food is always good and fresh. Didn’t like that the salad bar was not self serve and that when placing our order we were asked which side we would like? Implied that it was included. Way too expensive.

I had ordered an Italian sub from East Bay Deli. The sub was really good but it did come served warm which was different and the size of the sub was pretty small. It was very delicious though and same with the pasta salad side. Looking forward to trying more items!

We are regular customers however after multiple price increases, charging a fee for paying with a card and the decrease in both quality and quantity of food enough is enough. You still cannot make your own salad, the sandwiches hardly have any meat on them anymore and paying over two dollars to get french fries instead of chips only to receive literally 12 french fries. This must be becoming the normal for this location and actually seems to get worse with each visit. I understand the need for increased prices and I am happy to pay for it but not when there is a comprise on the quality and quantity of what you receive. We don’t seem to have this problem at other locations other than the ‘credit card fee.’
