My boyfriend’s and my favorite spot at Jersey City! Enthusiast services! The owner of the cafe is very friendly, giving free cake that may cost 10$ on the outside. Environment is calming and surrounding with plants. Definitely recommend for a casual date or so.

Just ordered delivery, I understand food quality goes down during delivery time so I am writing this review with that in mind. I ordered takoyaki, pork cutlet with curry and rice and green tea mille crepe. Takoyaki was delicious but the octopus was overcooked and rubbery. They were very generous with the octopus but might’ve overcooked it by just a few minutes which is crucial when cooking octopus, my rating is 7.5/10. The pork cutlet was also overcooked and chewy, I’m not rating on crispiness because of delivery, the rice was not soft and the curry was only decent. I rate it a 6/10. The mille crepe was only slightly sweet which some people might like and had the signature green tea bitter aftertaste which could have been matched with a little more sweetness, 6.5/10. Complementary miso soup was good, 8/10. I will try them once more and change my rating if there is an improvement.

We had lunch here on a recent Saturday. The place was not busy. You ordered and paid on a touchscreen at the counter. It was easy enough, but I hesitated to give tips before we even sat down. So I gave cash tips at the end of our meal.

My friends and I had a great lunch here at East Hudson Cafe, the place was really beautiful and located in the heart of Jersey City. The food and the service was amazing. We ordered the takoyaki, udon noodles, pork and chicken katsu curry. The owner even showed us some of the dishes that were not part of the menu yet so we ended ordering the loaded fries which was super good! Highly recommend!

I ordered the Curry Beef Rice Set and the curry beef rice was delicious, with tender and flavorful beef in a rich curry sauce. However, the miso soup that came with the set was too salty for my taste.

Came here for the traditional Suzhou noodles 昆山奥灶面 (not on the menu yet but you can order it with the manager), food is great and restaurant is nice and clean. I’m sure they probably also have very good ramen. Will come back again.

I love love the chicken dumplings at East Hudson Cafe! I would come here practically every day after work to get their chicken dumplings. The sauce accompanying them is the perfect sweet yet spicy sauce. The mazemen is also delicious, with the cabbage providing a wonderful crunch juxtaposing the soft chewiness of the noodles and ground pork.
