The cornbread was horrible no flavor at all and it was super hard. The beef tips were good as well as the collar greens but the Mac and cheese was trash. This is my 3rd time eating here. The 1st time was great. I had breakfast the 2nd time I took my other half he and I both threw our plates away before even leaving the parking lot it was so nasty. He says he’s never going here again today I decided to give it another try and I give it a 4/10 because it made it home but I don’t think I’ll ever go back.

The overall food, service and atmosphere was to my liking. The cabbages could use more seasonings and the cornbread cooked a bit too long. The Salisbury steak was nice. 1 out of 10…..I’ll give it a 7.

I had the Mississippi omelet with bacon, grits, and toast. I choose not to add cheese to my grits. It was so good! I went there everyday for a whole week just for this. The bacon was like no other bacon, it was close to ham. It wasn’t crispy, but it was good and now that’s how I like my bacon. The wait is a little long but it’s worth it

OMG! What a suprise from this little spot. Food and service both remind me of Nana’s cooking growing up. You want authentic made from scratch food done with this is the spot for you. Dont let the neighborhood keep you from enjoying some fantastic food. I also had a slice of strawberry cake to go and it was delicious. If you happen to see German chocolate cake get 2 slices one for now and one for later. You will thank me later when you do.
