Cold and windy Friday night took us to this little corner of the beach. The place is small from the entrance, but it seems roomy enough for all the bustling inside. Good used of space I think. This Bistro is pricey, but we were here just for the appetizers, which ranges from $12 to $24. We ordered the Korean wings (10 for $20), the Spanish octopus, and personal size pizza ($16) which is not on the menu. The pizza was great according to my family, topped with cheese, greens, tomatoes, and fried egg. I enjoyed it also, but the dough was more like spongy. Almost the same texture as the complimentary bread, and not enough pull when bitten. It’s still a good pizza, but the dough should be really good for what you are paying. The octopus was a letdown for me. Too much for some chewy chunks of octopus on a bed of bitter chopped olives. Not recommended. Finally, the Gouchujang Wings were good. Sauce was great, but the wings were over fried. The breading was too crunchy that it almost hard, and the chicken itself was almost dry. Overall, good experience. Service was great, so we’re coming back for the main course.

We came in around 830 on May 27th, to celebrate our elopement. The restaurant has a relaxing ambiance. The bartender was authentic and easygoing. Fellow patrons were cool and vibrant. Oyster Rockefeller and dumplings were DELICIOUS!!! Drinks were awesome. Check it out!

Cute, trendy restaurant with outstanding food and wonderful service! The parking situation is a little iffy – we ended up parking at our hotel several blocks down and walking rather than trying to navigate where we were/were not allowed to park on the street. But it was 100% worth it! Highly recommend this restaurant – everything we had was delicious (iron seared filet of beef, vegetable lasagna, and a mushroom and brie pizza as a starter). We will definitely be back when we return to Virginia Beach in the future!

An unassuming but high end restaurant tucked into the former motel lobby. The food is unique and delicious. The flavors are unlike what is found in the surrounding VA beach area. We love the cocktails and the wings. Parking is tough so plan accordingly. If the weather is nice, would recommend requesting an outdoor table which gives you a peak at the beach.

We had a great meal. Chef Eric loves creating awesome experiences with delicious ingredients. My son caught 55 inch Cobia on our fishing trip. Eric and his team prepared our catch serving our party of 15 flawlessly. His sides are wonderful, I loved the Brussels sprouts. Chef and staff have an enthusiasm for food and service. The bistro is a short walk from @mariottoceanview.
