By far the best tasting food I had in the 2 weeks I spent in Fairbanks. It took a while because I walked in. It had counters and not really a dining room. Had I known that ahead, I would have planned for a picnic because the food was perfect for savoring next to the river.

I’m sorry but this is not it… this is by far no means authentic Jamaican food and even if it’s cooked by a Jamaican I’m sorry but this is not a proper representation of Jamaican cuisine.. the plantains that were supposed to be ripe were dry and hard practically inedible. I got 5 plates: oxtail, 2 brown stew chicken, curry chicken and all was a mediocre joke. The brown stew and curry chicken was shredded (not how it’s supposed to be done) and taste less. The rice and peas and plain white rice was an even bigger joke. I also got the jerk chicken that was subpar compared to others I have had. Oh I also got some Pattie’s and those barely passed but was doughy (thank god for the hint of pepper in it) this was a complete waste. The store really needs to improve cooking and anyone who knows Caribbean cuisine will agree. Because if this is what they are serving and having people think is really Jamaican food it is a shame for them and the culture.

The food was absolutely amazing. It was a little bit of wait because everything was cooked to order, but it was so worth it! We got the chicken curry and the oxtail. Both were so tender and delicious. The portions are huge and make the price 100% worth it.

Delicious! I got the chicken curry with side of baked mac and cheese. Also picked up the patty and festival. All were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The chicken was amazing! I wish the mac had more of a spicy kick but it’s one of the better mac and cheese I have had in town.

Eat-A-Vybe is a whole experience. The owner is one man who does every activity himself without any help from anyone else. Subsequently, the wait times vary, but they are worth it!

Yummy spicy goodness! I encountered the foods of Eata Vybe at the Fairbanks Fair and also at an H3 concert at the Big I. I haven’t been to the 7th ave location yet. In my photo is the jerk chicken, which is the best jerk chicken I have ever had. It was cooked on a grill, cooked to perfection. Huge portion and the owner / cook / main guy is awesome! He has the good vibes that goes into the food. I want to eat at Eata Vybe again! I am back! This time for the oxtails. No dine-in, cool pick up only situation that makes the process comfortable.

The ox tail is very good and spicy it good with rice and cabbage. Even though the room is small but u can wait in the car but I perfer to stay in the room to listen to the music ,it would be nice to have a painting up or a plant but I felt like I am really at Jamaica.
