Chef Wendy Cruse leads a team in creating a tasty two-sided menu of Savory Southern and Cuban flavored Latin plates.
From our Fish Tacos with Limey White Jalapeño Sauce to our Fish Cakes with Fried Green Tomatoes the flavors are bold and fresh. Everything is made from scratch with the best ingredients. We try to swap our vegetables out seasonally but maintain some year round.
We offer canning classes during the summer and have looked at offering similar classes during the colder months, too. We sponsor a Fall Festival during October and a Holiday Festival-Bazaar during December.

I don’t have one bad thing to say about my experience here. Everything was delicious. Everything was made to order. Small batch goodness here in the south. GLUTEN FREE YES! I couldn’t believe how easy it was to find and to park. They have a huge lot. Great outdoor space. The inside is cute and quaint. Everyone enjoyed the space, the service and their food.

I love this place!! This is the second time we have been here and the food is just amazing. Fried chicken that doesn’t taste gluten free! And the sauces are so good. All of the sauces are delicious. I feel so safe when I eat here & they are so welcoming that it feels like I’m eating at home.

Gluten free chicken strips! We were visiting from out of town and were so excited to try a dedicated gluten free restaurant. Most dining options are usually gf pizza, which gets old, or salad, which isn’t exactly kid friendly.

First time at EATS. I ordered the veggie enchilada and it was DELICIOUS! The service there was great as well. Friendly and i was checked on often. They also let me try a new cookie that they are selling there as well. Go check them out! Outdoor seating but tuesday they will have indoor seating available.

So thankful to experience some delicious food, as someone who has issues with gluten. The stress that comes from scanning a menu for gluten-free items was eliminated, as everything is gluten-free. Great customer service, very clean inside, and very large portions for the price. I’m not sure which meal item was best, but I’m excited to return in the future and try several different items on the menu. Thank you for making a gluten-free restaurant with normal & tasty food!!!

Very nicely converted into a pleasurable dining space. Nicely tucked away from the traffic, and the usual Southside hustle and bustle. Owners Richard and Wendy have taken elements, and flavors, from their travels around the globe and have combined them together into the type of eatery that Southside is uniquely home to.
