We were just traveling through the area and saw Eddie Joe’s Icehouse on Google maps and decided to stop. We’d never been in the area before. I am so happy we did! The restaurant was clean and comfortable with awesome ambiance. Our waiter, Colin, was friendly and upbeat. He was one of the best servers we’ve had in a long time. But the food! We had skipped lunch due to travel and were starving. We had wings, the pulled pork nachos, the smash burger, and the large combo platter with pork, brisket, wings, fries, and cole slaw. You can tell everything is made right there and tasted fresh. All the sauces were delicious too. The brisket was tender and smoked perfectly, the wings were large and flavorful, the burger patty had amazing flavor. We will definitely travel the 90 minutes back to have it again!

I had the Catfish filet meal. It was very tasty. The server was efficient and friendly. We were here with a big group. They accommodated us very well.

What a surprise. Eddie Joe’s has amazing barbeque, sweet sides, a down home atmosphere, and People’s Brewery on draft. The sweet potato muffin is especially good with the pecan butter. Staff is friendly and the chef visited our table. Will definitely be back.

Definitely need to make reservations on a Saturday night. The staff was awesome and found a table for us despite the lack of reservations. Earlier is better. The truck’s mac and cheese recipe is better. 😉 Everything was prepared beautifully. Served hot. Tasted even better than it looked. (Every plate looked photograph ready. Even our neighbors’) I think we’ve found our “place” in the new town.

Our waitstaff was wonderful – attentive and friendly. Made us feel welcome and was great with the children in our party. I had the ribs – tasty and moist – my only complaint would be I had to eat them with a fork because they fell off the bone easily. Sweet potato fries and nachos for the table were quickly gobbled up. Nice selection of beer, including local brews ( the peanut butter stout was great). We were celebrating a family member and the staff made us feel good about being there. While it’s a little out of town, if your on campus it’s about the same drive as crossing town to the mall or the 65 exit in Lafayette. I will come back next time I’m in town.

What a random find! We went to Eddie Joe’s after the Purdue Christmas Show. Driving up in the dark I thought I made a reservation at a local bar. But this place is fantastic- great brisket, top notch pizza (if you’re lucky enough to go on a pizza night). We tried the sliders too – a great intro to their meats. The stuffed jalapenos are huge! A little loud but no more than some of my other favorite places. Super friendly staff too. I heard the 1st Sunday of the month is a bloody mary bar… we will be back to check it out & more of the menu!

Had the nachos appetizer (house queso is delicious) and the brisket platter. Big portions and great sides. You have to try the sweet potato muffins with their special butter. To die for. Service was fantastic as well. Will be back!
