Eddie’s is basically a neighborhood bar downtown Arlington Heights. They are on Northwest Highway across from the Metra train station. Parking is on the street, free with a 2 hour time limit.

I visited Eddies 4/8/23 at 11pm. Waited 34mins at the bar with three bartenders and had no service. In the duration I was waiting at the bar I witnessed the bartenders take 4 shots. Receipts and glassware littered the bar. Further more the entire staff behind the bar didn’t even direct their eyes above the bar, im not sure what was so interesting down there. When I was finally asked what I would like to have (which was a PBR and a shot) the bartender proceeded to make 5 mixed drinks and turned away and didn’t even remember my order. At that point I left and will not return. I’m not one for making bad reviews but I’ve been in some scummy bars before with 100% better service.

Friendly, delicious and welcoming northwestern Chicago tavern and restaurant that is a taste of classic Americana. The tots are top of the line and if I am there at the right time on one of my visits from Colorado, they even a special Habanero sauce they make fresh which I am always keen to add to my ketchup. I was even there imbibing on the night the Cubs won the series in 2016. I am excited for my next visit. Yum! Prost!

Really great dive bar! The staff was super friendly and the drinks are strong. They have some pretty decent food too- I’ve only tried the chicken soup but I assume everything is pretty good. Would recommend!
