We went early evening and was seated immediately after being notified of all of the reserved tables. Service was one person or another. Wonderfully decorated building inside with good music. The chefs also play music you can hear. Owners were there and hopping table to table with small talk.

The service was absolutely amazing. The people are so nice and attentive. I want to try their brunch and give them another chance simply because everyone was so nice. However the dinner menu was not great. The food was rather bland and the crab had pieces of shells in it. My husbands burger was not seasoned well, he had to add salt to it. When you’re paying that much for food it’s disappointing when it’s not very good. I suggest just coming for dessert and drinks.

We’re visiting family in La Porte, and they took us to Ed’s Bistro for brunch on Sunday. What a wonderful little place! Great people, great food, and probably the best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I asked for spicy, and it had perfect spice, deep rich flavor, and a great selection of accoutrements, including candied bacon, jalapeños, asparagus, and a few others. I had the lobster and crab cake benedict, which was outstanding, and the chedder grits, which were delicious!

I never leave reviews but this place deserves to be bragged about! This place is soooo good!!! The food was mouth watering, Ed’s breakfast potatoes are the best I’ve ever had! The service is amazing! Our server was so kind! The atmosphere is so crisp and clean and the owner is there to answer any questions and welcome you in. We definitely felt welcomed and love how close to home this is!
