Since the sunny, colorful, carefree days of the early 1970s, eegees has been serving handcrafted sub sandwiches and its now-famous frozen fruit drink, the eegee, in Southern Arizona. In September 1971, the founders pooled their resources to purchase a vending truck and began serving a frozen lemon drink at high schools, sporting events, and concerts in town. The drink was called an eegee. Eventually, the vending trucks were retired as they turned their business into a growing quick-service restaurant chain.
Today, there are 25+ eegees locations in the greater Tucson area, as well as one in neighboring town Casa Grande. The restaurant has also grown its menu and now offers salads, french fries, and signature ranch dressings.
Casual chain serving frozen fruit drinks along with submarine sandwiches, fries & salads. Based on 761 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.3 stars. Price $

The subs were ok, but the eegees were amazing. We had a watermelon and a piña colada one, and both were delicious. Bathrooms are well kept, but you have to ask a team member to open them for you. Team members could be more friendly.

$20 for a sandwich, fries & a drink. My sandwich was made wrong. I asked for no onion & was made with onion. My fries carton was only half way filled. The window worker seemed to be having a bad day. This Eegees use to be my favorite lunch spot. It’s gotten so expensive & down hill, this may be my last time going there.

This place was once the best place now its a total lost. The menu changed , the bread is hard and rough, the kids menu is horrible, they dont even have kids sizes anymore. They changed the sandwich sizes to half or whole. I will not spend my money on this place anymore .The new owners of eegees is definitely messing up the business itself .

Quite possibly the cleanest fast food restaurant I’ve ever been in. Once everyone was served, I even witnessed an employee wiping down the walls and light fixtures!! Food was great – it’s Eegees…

The lobby was mantained very clean, the restaurant was really busy, they may have been understaff who knows but, they cannot work under pressure (at least that night’s crew) not acknowledging customers, more than 4 people in line waited over 6 min before someone mention the obvious they were busy, they made my order twice due to the fact my order was made incorrectly.

They are soooo slow to serve at the window. I waited half hour for only one eegee.

I’ve always had a good experience here at this Eegees! I love the cheesy bacon fries (with a side of ranch, of course) and who doesn’t love a good frozen Eegee on a hot day?

I haven’t been to eegees in awhile and we got burnt bread on both sandwiches. Hopefully this won’t happen again, other than that we always choose this location bc they never get our order wrong!

I really think there is absolutely no care what so ever in what class of food this location will serve to you. My order was one grinder combo w/jalapeno on the side and one kids meal. All that needs to be said is no effort no care to what is placed in your bag, just pay me money n go away. One star for the sandwich maker nothing else. Eegees quality is officially corporate only no longer Tucson small town greatness
