Since the sunny, colorful, carefree days of the early 1970s, eegees has been serving handcrafted sub sandwiches and its now-famous frozen fruit drink, the eegee, in Southern Arizona. In September 1971, the founders pooled their resources to purchase a vending truck and began serving a frozen lemon drink at high schools, sporting events, and concerts in town. The drink was called an eegee. Eventually, the vending trucks were retired as they turned their business into a growing quick-service restaurant chain.
Today, there are 25+ eegees locations in the greater Tucson area, as well as one in neighboring town Casa Grande. The restaurant has also grown its menu and now offers salads, french fries, and signature ranch dressings.
Casual chain serving frozen fruit drinks along with submarine sandwiches, fries & salads. Based on 997 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.3 stars. Price $

Service was great. Conner my favorite was not there. He is the most pleasant cashier ever! So polite and friendly. The only reason I drive out of my way !!!

Just had a side of fries with our frozen treats. I tried the strawberry zero sugar one and wasn’t my cup of tea, but the watermelon was amazing! Thanks to my babe for introducing me to Eegee’s.

Was in the drive thru line for a small eegee 20mins before closing and the employees thought it be okay to let three cars wait in line at the speaker to then tell us their closed after 25 mins of waiting. If we’re there before closing they should serve us not keep us waiting till their closed to then tell us we can’t serve you.

Pretty good sandwiches. My wife and I had a spicy grinder. Enjoyed image spicy, wife said too much dressing. My daughter had the meatball sub with provolone. She said good, but would be better with less sauce. Drive thru was packed, so we ate inside. Friendly staff clean restaurant, fairly quick service.

Food here is awesome. The ice was really tasty. Glad I don’t have to include fries in my combo. Came here with a friend. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, told me what was on each sub. Greatly enjoyed my dining experience here, i will tell my friends who dont know about this place.

As soon as I went, I regretted not going earlier. These fruit slushies are to die for! I got the pina colada and it was delicious. Can’t speak for the food. The prices were fair, great staff, and quick service.

Since moving over to a new more expensive menu, I probably won’t be going to any eegees anymore. It feels like the food is actually worse since raising the prices. They got rid of the pretzels which were my favorite part. This location is always rude and usually forgets something in my orders every time I go. Also I’m confused why they have a reward system when literally no one asks for the phone number. I’m not going to download an app and take up space on my phone for that. I recommend Slice and Ice for better service and food if you want similar sandwiches and fries.

The food here is always good. Customer service is hit or miss. Night crew completely different experience than day crew. Day crew is awesome, checks for loyalty number and has great customer service. Night crew gives the impression they do not want to be there and I have never been asked for loyalty ID.
