Love the shrimp and grits breakfast… Everything I ate was tasty and well portioned… And the server was very helpful and pleasant… If you want a good breakfast try here you won’t be disappointed with the choice!!!

We love this place. We’ve been here twice and it’s been super great both times. Good food portions with great flavors. The servers are fantastic. The prices are fairly comparable to other breakfast places in the area. This is a friendly, lively, consistently solid place with great food and great service.

We had an amazing experience at eggs up this morning! Their menu is huge and with so many options you’re surely to find something for everyone. I made some adjustments to my loaded home fry bowl and they were more than accommodating. Friendly and welcoming staff too, although the young lady working as hostess this morning seemed like she would rather be elsewhere. At the end of the day the experience was great and we would return!

Shrimp and Grits in a bowl was excellent (the best I’ve had in Wilmington) and enough for two.(you can split it). Lots of shrimp with cheesy grits , pieces of sausage, spinach and tomato and 2 eggs over easy.. Garlic toast and half of a grilled lemon. Server very attentive and helpful.

Wonderful! Have always had good food here. I really love the combinations of foods they put together! I had the Cali Mac & cheese bowl! Juicy sliced chicken, on white dripping cheddar cheese, garnished with diced tomatoes, fresh avocados, and sprigs of spinach! Yum!

I ordered a sausage egg and cheese omelette. I had whole wheat toast and side of fruit. Everything was very good. My waitress provided excellent service from the time I entered until I left.

Arrived at 10:30 told a 20 to 25 minute for two people. 50 minutes passed we have not been seated. People who came in after us got seated before us, so we asked the hostess how much longer. Finally, she got us seated after an hour.

We tried this location for the 1st time today. We arrived around 11:00 a.m. and had a 20 minute wait. That’s normal for the area however. When we were seated, we had service within 3 – 5 minutes. Within 10 minutes we had food on the table. The food looked nice on the plates. Overall our two plates were satisfying. I had three issues with quality. 1. The salsa on my wife’s omelet was cold which dulled down the warmth of her egg and meats. 2. My bacon was of very low quality. Bacon should retain it’s shape if it has any form of quality. 3. The sausage also was of a lower grade. I’m used to eating Swaggerty or Jimmy Dean brands which are excellent. These patties reminded me of the frozen hamburger patties that have the lattice pattern. I think there was a lot of filler added to them. I believe we will be back. I will try the lunch menu next time. This is why I rated our vision 3 stars. There is potential to be great, they just need to provide better quality products.

We had a little wait, but I think they were a little short staffed. The restaurant was nice and clean, very friendly staff. Big breakfast/brunch selection on the menu. Unfortunately, we started to dig in before I remembered to take pics, but I think you can get the drift. Food was DELICIOUS! We will definitely be back!

Part of this review is a five star review. My family and I were here this morning and we were excited to try a new place to eat. First, the good. The food here was excellent. 5 stars all the way. It was delivered quickly, it was prepared perfectly, and everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. My biscuits and gravy were top notch. The grilled biscuits were good, the gravy was hot, filled with sausage bits and had amazing flavor. My daughter loved the waffle breakfast sandwich and my wife’s cinnamon french toast was excellent, I tried some of her hashbrown potatoes and they were great. The coffee was excellent and I could see myself drinking many cups on any given morning. In the realm of food Eggs Up Grill is knocking it out of the park. Why 2 stars then? The service we received was so disappointing. We came in behind another couple who were seated before us. We sat down when the restaurant has less than half its tables filled and we waited for ten minutes just to have our drink order taken. All the while the other couple who walked in before us had their drinks delivered and orders taken before we were even noticed. After our drink orders were taken (along with our breakfast order because we had waited so long) we got our drinks but we had received any silverware. The hostess did not provide them, the person who took our order did not provide them, neither did the person who brought our coffee. It would have been nice to ask for some but all the wait staff were huddled at the front not doing anything. When our food finally came we caught someone long enough to ask for some utensils. I mentioned previously that the coffee was good and would love to have more but the only time a refill was offered was after we had finished our meal. I really wanted to like Eggs Up Grill and the food was delicious but in going to a restaurant there is a basic level of service that is expected and if it is not there I can’t be. I hope everyone who goes there enjoys the food as much as we did and hopefully has a better experience with the staff. I know everyone has not had the same experience as I and my hope is this was an isolated incident. 5 stars for food, 2 stars for service. UPDATE 11/2/2021- Per their request I emailed Eggs up grill on Oct 5, 2021 as they wished to connect with me directly. After almost a month I have not heard from them at all.
