This was my first time visiting! I know both the owners really well! He attended my business intensive and followed all the guidance given and it has yielded great success for the Whitehaven community and Memphis! So I ordered thighs and fries they were cooked hard just the way I like it!!!! The dipping sauce was not a favorite, so hot sauce it is. The portions were hefty. I could only eat one thigh with the fries. The customer was nice it’s a quaint spot and felt really warm and homey. The summer heat was not playing. It was kinda warm. We ordered our food to go. They give you a buzzer to let you know your order is ready. I will return during the cooler months for breakfast!

The first time I attempted to try this spot out, time wasn’t on my side. This time I was going to wait however long I needed to get the experience of this local restaurant, and overall I wasn’t disappointed. I ordered the Hot Thighs and Fries but changed it to chicken and waffles (subbed the fries for waffles basically). Everything was served hot and fresh. The chicken was well seasoned, crispy, juicy, and the waffles were on point. My only gripe was that one of my thighs were fried too hard…but I chalk it up to being a small thigh. So it had a little extra crispy to it, but it was still flavorful especially with their hot sauce and I’m not a hot sauce brother. I’ll definitely be back very soon. Nice and small with a warm atmosphere and good vibes.

We just left this gem and are completely stuffed and satisfied! The Food Network needs to come here and feature this restaurant on their channel, it’s THAT GOOD! My husband had the chicken and waffles and I had the french toast meal – BOTH were amazing. Their chicken is unbelievably good, I am picky when it comes to fried chicken and my goodness theirs is the absolute best! Their French toast is light and fluffy, scrambled eggs are seasoned to perfection and equally light and fluffy- so delicious. The customer service is also TOP NOTCH! Everyone is so kind and accommodating, we will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast twice while visiting from Florida. The food is really amazing. The best omelet ever. I do feel like the water cups could be larger because it’s gone in like 2 sips but it’s okay food is delicious. They seat you but when you’re ready you have to go up to the counter to order and pay and the food comes pretty fast. Great place overall, would be back!

Well well well, it was eggxactly what we were expecting and more. It was culturally diverse mixed with the smells of food made with love. Full bar for those who love Mimosas (monthly flavors) great music to make the atmosphere more intimate and one heck of a plant that adorns the entire wall. We loved it and plan to get back there as soon as possible. This is truly Memphis Black Excellence at its finest.
