Had an excellent experience here! Our waiter Alfonso was one of the best servers I’ve ever had! We had horchatas, burrito asada and tacos asada. The asada here is sooooo good – a must try!! Highly recommend this to anyone who loves food and especially those who enjoy comida Mexicana!!

Had a great experience at El Agave on a recent visit to Bellingham. They have several vegetarian options – I chose the veggie fajitas and they were so good! Lots of different vegetables sizzling hot with a nice selection of sides and a choice of corn or flour tortillas. My husband really liked his chili relleno and cheese enchilada. There was only one waiter for several tables – he was working so hard and getting the job done quite nicely. The margaritas were tasty. Check this place out!

Loved our meal here. Warm and friendly staff. Each plate was perfectly portioned and had fresh ingredients. The complimentary chips/salsa were superb in the beginning. We ordered the Super Burrito and Spinach Enchiladas for our main course, both vegetarian dishes with lots of veggies (especially the burrito). We would give the additional star if it weren’t for the beans as we felt like the flavour was lacking. However, it didn’t take away from our experience. We would return again on our next visit to Fairhaven.

Both El agave’s are the best places in town for margaritas and authentic Mexican food. I’ve lived in Mexico, New Mexico, Tennesse and Texas and traveled through most of this country numerous times and have never had better food or margaritas. The staff is amazing, friendly and really make you feel like family.

Food was good. We especially loved the asada fries so outstandingly delicious with a generous amount of beef! We added some salsa to create sauce. All helpings were large, staff was very kind and hilarious, and the chicken was not bad. Would definitely come back for the steak, couldn’t even get photo we ate it so fast!
