Food was delicious! The staff was so kind and the entire ambience of the restaurant is authentic. It’s a vibe, we got the fajitas, enchiladas and steaks. You have to get their fresh guacamole as well it’s amazing, I can handle spice but the medium was too much for me . Wish they had dessert too.

My friend and I each ordered a 12 taco combo platter. The tacos were delicious . The Mahi tacos were my favorite followed by the lobster tacos . 10/10 would recommend . Ida was our waitress and was extra friendly.

I’m upset to say that I should have tried this place sooner. The food is incredible! As their name describes they are a steakhouse with Mexican influence. I tried their ribeye steak medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. It had a poblano cream sauce on top that complimented the steak well. The sides I chose were potatoes and veggies (green beans) and those were delicious as well. What blew me away was their poblano soup of the day. It was creamy, and had melted cheese and garlic croutons. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going back soon to try other dishes.

This is a small restaurant, with a moderate size but well executed menu. It reminds me of establishments I visited outside of Pueblo, Mexico. Just like there if you are expecting opulence you will be disappointed.

My colleague and I went for dinner on a Tuesday evening. We made reservations ahead of time for 6:30, and we were certainly glad we did. The place was packed…every table full. We were seated right away and greeted by our server. Then we waited…and waited…and waited…a good 30 minutes before she returned to take our order. She was friendly and pleasant, just not anywhere to be seen most of the time we were there. On to the food, which was excellent. I had the New York strip, cooked perfectly and topped with a red sauce. It came with green beans, grilled jalepenos & peppers, and refried beans. Very tasty. We finished our meal and waited again, another 30 minutes for our server to come by so we could ask for the check. Aside from the disappointing service, the food was great and moderately priced.

It was my first time here and I thought there was going to be a problem when we stepped thru the door. But it turns out El Asador was by reservation on 5/5/23 so we were pleased when they found room for two. The menu was complicated for me so I had what my son ordered and it was fantastic!! Nice hidden gem in Mexicantown with very flavorful dishes! This is a BYOB restaurant and we found out after we got there, luckily there’s a liquor store just across the street with a good selection of booze. The inside could use some updating but the place is known for its great food and not really it’s atmosphere. Definitely a nice authentic Mexican restaurant with reasonable prices on their dishes, highly recommend!

Party of 9 – no problems. We ordered apps and dinner and could not have enjoyed ourselves more. The service bwas great and the server didn’t miss a beat. The food was amazing including the table-side guacamole, chips and salsa. We had mahi mahi, rib eye, chicken enchiladas and fajitas – no issues and the food was delicious. The flavors of all we ordered were amazing. Good time had by all and can’t wait to get back to try other dishes.
