This place was way more than what we expected. My husband had the chilaquiles with the homemade chorizo and it was tasty. I got the birriaquiles (combination of birria-beef meat with tortilla chips) and 2 friend eggs. This plate was huge and had to take 1/2 home. The portions were very generous. We also tried the freshly squeezed orange juice and horchata and those drinks were fresh and delicious. Finally, the restroom was super clean. We will for sure be back.

I love a great breakfast place, and this checked all the boxes for me. Simple, flavorful, and a good variety of options to choose from. The Mexican based menu had a ton of great flavors and I wouldn’t be surprised if they added a few more locations in the valley in the future.

I chose this spot for a big family birthday brunch, and I’m so glad I did. The staff at El Barril went above and beyond to make it an extra special occasion. We had a large group reservation on a Monday at 11am, and everything went so smoothly, from seating to checkout. And, of course, the food was BOMB. Authentic flavors, large portions, fresh, quality ingredients. The coffees and fruit drinks and cocktails were also delicious and made with care. The atmosphere was bright and friendly. I can’t say enough good about this place and the wonderful staff. I had the best birthday celebration and every person in my group left feeling full and satisfied. Have your next meal here, you will not be disappointed.

Food is BOMB. I had the chilaquiles cochinos and the portions were large enough to share. Staff is friendly and attentive. It is a smaller location, so they may take a little longer than other places, but worth the wait!

Seriously amazing the food was delicious: we had chilaquiles, huevos divorsado and chocolate strawberry crepes. The flavor was on point and definitely warrants a return trip to try even more! Next time gonna go a little later to try their mimosas. 5/5 will return and recommend to everyone!

Delicious! I had the Chile Relleno burrito. Fresh ingredients. The tortilla was excellent and the contents of the burrito and sauce blended nicely. Try the Morning Glory smoothie if you like ginger. Unusual and refreshing.

Real authentic Mexican taste! I feel like the tortillas should be part of the entrée instead of an additional charge or at least put the tortillas on the stove. Those tasted like microwave tortillas, and then they wrapped it in foil to bring them out. Hot sauce shouldn’t be extra either. Besides that, everything else was good, including their special drink for the day!
