Grabbed our food just as they closed, despite this the staff were extremely kind and hospitable!! The food was excellent, good portions and flavorful! The Birra tacos were delicious and my friends burrito was sizable and no filings fell out of left the tortilla soggy. Overall would recommend!

Great location and menu but the inconsistency in fulfilling the correct order and poor tasting food bring this place down. I’ve had el barrio at least 10x times and my orders only been correct half of them. Furthermore, every burrito I’ve had is poorly wrapped with fillings leaking out. I’ve given it so many chances but there doesn’t seem to be any desire to improve on their end.

The food is okay. The birria tacos were pretty good, but not seasoned enough. The steak chimichanga was lacking flavor overall; the steak was barely seasoned, lack of cheese/ queso, and just soggy.

I wish I wasn’t being so greedy and got to take a picture before… I’ve tried birria tacos from many places in Boston and was always left unsatisfied. Today I tried birria tacos from El Barrio on my lunch break and this by far has been the most satisfaction I’ve had eating them. The meat was well portioned, it had lots of flavor, everything about them were good. I don’t even eat onions and didn’t even mind them on my tacos (I forgot to request no onions). They were delicious!! Would highly recommend. I can’t wait to try the nachos next
